Obituary | Edna M. (Kurtz) Schall, 97, of West Bend

October 24, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Edna M. Schall (nee Kurtz), 97, of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Samaritan in West Bend.

She was born on June 18, 1922 to the late Oscar and Esther (nee Schmidt) Kurtz in Ackerville, WI. She graduated from Slinger High School in 1940. On December 6, 1943 she was united in marriage to Norman Schall at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Ackerville WI. Edna was a dedicated employee for 34 years at the B.C. Ziegler Company in West Bend until she retired in 1987. She was a member of the B.C. Ziegler 25-year club and a life long member of Faith United Church of Christ. Edna loved gardening, baking, and taking family trips out west. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Edna leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Ellen (Jed) Dolnick and Linda (Keith) Schuette; four grandchildren, Ben (Erin) Dolnick, David Dolnick, Sarah (Dave) Spielbauer, and Michael (Ashton) Schuette; five great-grandchildren, Brayden Dolnick, Carson Dolnick, Elizabeth Spielbauer, Margaret Spielbauer, and Luella Jo Schuette; her sister, Florence Tuchscherer; a sister-in-law, Elva Schall; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Schall; sister, Naome Pickhard; and four brothers-in-law, LeRoy (Viola) Schall, Daniel (Vera) Schall, Franklin (Marjorie) Schall, and Eugene Schall.

A funeral service in remembrance of Edna will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Faith United Church of Christ, 2895 Slinger Rd., Slinger WI., with Rev. Sharon Stier officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to Faith United Church of Christ in Edna’s name is appreciated by the family.

The Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service have been entrusted with Edna’s arrangements.
