September 11, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Mary Rose Schwechel, 85, found peace on Monday, September 9, 2019. She was born in Appleton, WI on October 16, 1933 to parents Earl and Rose (Krablien) Captain.
Mary was a 1951 graduate of Berlin High School. Mary was united in marriage on June 23, 1956 to the love of her life, Robert Schwechel. She worked numerous years at Broan Manufacturing, Hartford and retired from Briggs & Stratton.
She and Robert were active members of the Irish Setter Club of Milwaukee and showed, field trialed and raised Irish Setters.
Mary is survived by two children, Mark (Patti) and Sandra (Doug) Feiner; six grandchildren, Matthew (Leah), Derek (Christy), Erica (fiancé Daniel Mentele) Schwechel, Kelsey (Jake) Zenner, Kyle McLaren and Adam (Angela) Feiner; three great-grandchildren, Oakley and Willow Feiner and Beau Zenner; siblings, Louise Mueller, Lois Burke, Jane Williams, Carol Anne Nepscha, Donald Captain, John Captain, Jim (April) Captain; sister-in-law, Darlene Mattmiller; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert and brothers, Earl and Roy.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford on Friday, September 13 at 5 p.m. Visitation for family and friends from 3 p.m. until time of service. Committal at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Arthritis Foundation.
