Child injured following hit and run in neighboring Dodge County | By Beaver Dam Police Lt. Matt Riel

August 8, 2019 – Beaver Dam, WI – On August 8, 2019 at approximately 6:22 p.m.  Beaver Dam police officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. Spring Street and E. Davis Street for a report of a child being struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival officers were advised a child had already been taken to the Beaver Dam Community Hospital by his mother.

The subject who struck the child stop briefly according to witnesses but did not exit the vehicle and then fled the scene southbound on S. Spring Street. The description of the vehicle was given as a mid 1990s to mid 2000 silver Sedan possibly a Buick with black paint sprayed near the bottom of the vehicle.

It was reported there was one male occupant driving the vehicle.

Police initially were given a possible license plate but it did not match the description of the vehicle.

Beaver Dam Police will continue to follow up on all leads received.
