Honda Accord split in two following multiple vehicle accident in neighboring Dodge County | By Dodge County Sheriff

July 24, 2019 – Dodge Co., WI – At 11:33 a.m. on July 24, 2019 the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 33 at the intersection with County Road TW in the Town of Hubbard.

The initial investigation shows a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling west on State Highway 33 and was stopped to make a left/south turn onto County Road TW.  A 2009 Dodge van was traveling west on State Highway 33 and approaching the rear of the Honda.  The van struck the rear of the Honda, causing the Honda to spin into the eastbound traffic lane of State Highway 33.  A 2019 Toyota was traveling east on State Highway 33 and struck the Honda, splitting the Honda into two pieces.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.  The driver and passenger of the Toyota both suffered minor injuries and were transported to Beaver Dam Hospital.  The driver of the Dodge Van suffered serious injuries and was transported to Columbus Hospital.  Two children in the Dodge van suffered minor injuries and were transported to Columbus Hospital.

Traffic on both highways was detoured until 1:42 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.  Other agencies assisting at the scene include:  Mayville and Horicon Police, Wisconsin State Patrol, Horicon Fire and EMS, Mayville EMS,  Beaver Dam Fire and EMS, Juneau EMS, and DCERT.
