Obituary | Sandra Lee Pittelkow, 68, of Hartford

April 5, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Sandra Lee Pittelkow (nee Crofoot), 68, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Sande was born December 21, 1950 in Tomahawk, WI to Eleanor L. (nee Weber) and Charles E. Crofoot Sr. She was united in marriage to John C. Pittelkow on December 27, 1985 in Milwaukee. Together they moved to Hartford in 1989. Sande worked hard her whole life, after working in some great restaurants, Sande went back to school later in life and earned a degree in occupational therapy. Sandra finished her working career at Northwestern Mutual where she made many special friends. She was also very proud of her Northwoods heritage and loved her “Up North” family. Sande made every birthday and holiday special, she was special. She will be missed every single day.

Sande is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, John; loving daughter, Raeley (Greg) Dickenson and step-son, Jade Sabatino-Pittelkow; cherished grandchildren, Julia Weiss, Tara Weiss, Adam Weiss, and Grant Dickenson; dear siblings, Sharon Crofoot and James (Brenda) Crofoot, and dear siblings-in-law, Barbara (Phillip) Vachon and Mary (Gerald) Pampuch. She is further survived by loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sr. and Eleanor Crofoot; brother, Charles Crofoot Jr.; and parents-in-law, Jack C. and Doris (nee Mayer) Pittelkow.

A Memorial Gathering celebrating Sande’s life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 4 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027.) Family and friends are welcome to gather from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A private inurnment in Nokomis Township will be held on a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sande’s name to ALS Association are appreciated.
