Obituary | Marquito L. ‘Mark’ De Ford Sr., 67, of Mayville

March 28, 2019 – Mayville, WI – Marquito L. “Mark” De Ford Sr., 67, of Mayville, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Mark was born on April 9, 1951, in Sparta, the son of the late Darcy De Ford and Arlene (nee Williams) De Ford. Mark enjoyed music, woodworking, and playing with his lawnmower. He looked forward to his favorite time of year, Christmas, decorating with lights. Mark loved his animals, his dogs, Brownie, Rimshot, Beans, and Sophie, just to name a few. He loved wolves, painting, and collecting M&M and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Above all else he cherished his family and family get togethers where he’d play practical jokes.

Those Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Carol Tischer; four children, Angelique (Tyler) Evans, Marquito Jr. (Virginia) De Ford, Brandy (Clinton) Brzezinski, Kateri (Lance) De Ford; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Miranda, Rosalita, Evelyn, Sarah, Christina, Isabella, Newlyn, Ava, Nathan, and Olivia; a great-grandchild, Travis III; a brother, Denny (Barb) De Ford; a sister, Dimples Nero; his in-laws, Keith Seekamp, Barb Fritz, David (Judy) Seekamp, John Seekamp, Marge (Lenny) Wnuk, James Seekamp, Nancy Ulik, Ruth (Wayne) Peth, Danny (Debbie) Seekamp, Eugene Seekamp, Eddie Seekamp, Elaine Bender, Roger Seekamp, Gerry Seekamp, Sherry Herb, Terry (Rick) Martens, Tammy Kusak, Kathy De Ford, Sandy De Ford; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by two sons, Antoine and Lucas De Ford; four brothers, Howard, Rodney, Darcy “Corky”, Jimmy Jo De Ford; three sisters, Mary Murphy, Karen Owen, Mickey Rahn; and other family members.

Funeral services for Mark will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 15 S. Walnut Street, in Mayville.

Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton

Mark’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
