Marian L. Vogt (nee Weninger) of the town of Wayne, age 85, went peacefully home to the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016, while surrounded by her family.

Marian was born to Andrew and Mary (nee Schmidt) Weninger on March 28, 1930 and grew up on the family farm in Nabob. She was united in marriage to Denis S. Together they operated a dairy farm in the Town of Wayne and raised a loving family of 9 children.  Marian was a member of St. Anthony Parish prior to Resurrection Catholic Church.

Throughout her life, Marian enjoyed being a dedicated homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, as well as a friend to many.  She enjoyed sewing and quilting, playing the accordion and organ, cooking and baking for her large family, socializing with friends in many card club groups and was an avid Brewers fan.  She was well known for her friendly letters and cards she sent to her family and friends—never forgetting anyone’s birthday.  Marian led a life of devotion to God and family. She welcomed everyone into her home and hosted many large family gatherings.

She is further survived by her 21 treasured grandchildren:  Katie Vogt (fiance Ben Schneider), Kristin Vogt, Nicole (Jason) Fideler, Sarah Beisbier (fiance Jon Schalow), Michelle (Matt) Stephan, Angie (Joe) Germano, Holly (Aaron) Kruepke, Jamie Vogt (fiance Ryan Borghoff), Matthew Vogt, Eric Vogt (Lauren Grebe), Beth (Chris) Tupper, Lauren Vogt, Alex Vogt, Jenna Klink (Michael Magee), Bruce Klink, Jodi Klink, Jason Klink, Candace Beine, Mitchell Beine, Joshua Vogt and Ashley Vogt.

Her 13 great-grandchildren include: Shaun Beisbier, Eliana and Alexia Fideler; Skylar Beisbier, Samuel Schalow; Jaydon, Jackson and Micah Stephan; Claire and Vincent Germano; Ajaya and Khalil Magee; and Emily Tupper.

Other survivors include her sister, Margaret (Franklin) Bales; her sisters-in-law Ethel Weninger, Cyrilla Thull and Kate (Jack) Weninger.  Marian is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband Denis, son Nick, brothers Joe Weninger and Andrew Weninger Jr., brothers-in-law Clarence Vogt and Carl Vogt; sisters-in-law Helen Oelhafen, Therese Oelhafen and Eleanor Ihlenfeld.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main St. Allenton) with Father Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 until 6:45 p.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery on Thursday, March 24 at 10 a.m.

Special thanks to the caring staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, along with Kathy’s Hospice.
