The naked steel truss pedestrian bridge will be removed from the sidewalk on Veterans Avenue across from the Museum of Wisconsin Art about 9 a.m. today.
According to Mayor Kraig Sadownikow it will be “hauled to Madison…..contract specifies the exact paint and that 3 coats are required.”
The bridge was delivered last Thursday. It didn’t quite meet contract specifications as it was supposed to be white.
Janke General Contractors, Inc. said the project will completed by May 15, 2016.
“Janke has been great to work with,” said West Bend City Administrator T.J. Justice. “We are very appreciative of their cooperation throughout the project and are looking forward to seeing the bridge in use this summer.”
