Feb. 6, 2019 – Cedar Community is proud to announce they have been identified as one the Best Nursing Homes for 2018-19 by U.S. News & World Report, a global authority in health care rankings.

Cedar Community was evaluated by U.S. News & World Report along with 15,000 nursing homes nationwide, in every state. The rating is based on performance in long-term care or rehabilitation services evaluating medical quality, nurse staffing, health inspections and rehabilitation therapy.

Cedar Community’s long-term care is rated better than average with an overall nurse staffing as better than average, while medical care quality measures is high performing. Cedar Community’s short-term rehabilitation received a high performing rating, with many categories rating much higher than the national average.

Cedar Community is also a Medicare five-star rated nursing home, medicare.gov. These ratings provide valuable information for potential residents and their families navigating retirement facilities allowing them to make informed decisions about the quality of care provided.
