VIDEO | Habitat ReStore in Germantown is open for business

Feb. 6, 2019 – Germantown, WI – After nearly two months of setup and hard work the new Habitat Restore in Germantown is open for business.

It was Nov. 19, 2018 when WashingtonCountyInsider.com first posted about the new location in the former Gander Mountain Store, W190 N10768 Commerce Circle, in Germantown.

A blessing of the store, which overlooks I41, was held Nov. 27, 2018.

While walking through the new setup there is almost enough room for a store within the store. There are shelves full of tools and room for furniture displays, windows and paint. It is the largest Restore in Washington, Dodge and Ozaukee Counties.

Habitat Executive Director Russ Wanta offered praise for help on the closing on the purchase of the store. “We had a very generous man from the Minneapolis area who generously donated the down payment so we could ultimately make this our Germantown ReStore,” said Wanta.

The store is something else!  Store managers Jon and Bernie were busy Tuesday helping guests at the checkout.

Stop in at the new location,  W188N10707 Maple Rd, Germantown, which opens at 9 a.m.

Also a hat tip to Keller, Inc. which has volunteered to help draft plans for a drive thru at the store.
