Jan. 21, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Aileen M. Stenzel (nee McDonald) age 92 of West Bend died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

She was born January 5, 1927 in Plymouth WI to James and Cecelia (nee Carufel) McDonald.

On April 18, 1944 she was united in marriage to George F. Stenzel in Milwaukee. George preceded her in death on July 11, 2002.

Aileen was employed by E.R. Wagner Mfg. Co in Milwaukee over 30 years. Hobbies included cards and was a member of numerous bridge clubs, an avid reader and spending time with her family and friends.

She was an active member of numerous clubs and organizations. She was very involved in the Ex Club and past president of National Association of Accountants, on a local and national level. Other organizations included are The Red Hats, The West Bend Country Club, The Christ Child Society, COPE and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Aileen is survived by her son Joel (Jane) Stenzel of West Bend, 2 granddaughters: Kim (Roger) Schmidt of Hartland and Julie Stenzel of Muskego, 2 great-grandchildren: Sarah (Elliott) Sanders-Barta and Michael Schmidt and a great-great-granddaughter Harper Sanders-Barta. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Cecelia McDonald and her husband George Stenzel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. Entombment will take place on Saturday in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. The family will greet visitors on Friday, at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation are appreciated.
