Nov. 29, 2018 – Erin, WI – Mary G. Stapleton (nee Neville) age 98 of the Town of Erin, Wisconsin passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center-Hartford surrounded by loving family.
Mary was born June 2, 1920 in Wichita, Kansas to Helena (nee Jansen) and Edward L. Neville. She was united in marriage to Francis I. Stapleton on October 31, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Dorothy Carl, Dr. Nancy Budish, Karen Stapleton, and Michael Stapleton; 7 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rita Landwehr. She is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 55 years, Francis Stapleton and her 10 siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church- (W314 N7462 State Road 83, North Lake, WI) with Fr. Joe Aufdermauer officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Interment immediately following Mass in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Erin (Thompson), WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for masses for Mary and Mike Stapleton or to St. Jude Hospital (stjude.org) are appreciated.
