Nov. 2, 2018 – West Bend, WI – There’s a call to action for Saturday, Nov. 3 as volunteers are needed to help tidy up Veterans Plaza on Fifth Avenue and Poplar Street in West Bend.
Veteran Terry Vrana is trying to clean up the lot prior to the Nov. 11 Veterans Day ceremony.
Vrana said many hands will make quick work. He’s looking at a start time of 9 a.m.
No need to bring anything but your hard-working self … and maybe a pair of work gloves. The majority of time will be spent pulling up the dead plants, disposing of them and maybe raking the lot clean.
If you’re a scout and need volunteer hours or if you need community service for confirmation – this will be a good effort.
Veteran’s Plaza will then host the annual Veterans Day ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 11 begininng around 10:45 a.m.
