August 13, 2018 – Barton, WI – The extensive interior remodel of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish in Barton is near completion.
The remodel began in March as crews gutted the interior of the church. An ongoing fundraiser had its sights set on collecting $375,000 to pay for the renovation. The new interior would look much like the plans presented. Click HERE to see the pledge.
The paintings of Jesus and Mother Mary are now hung in the north and south wings of the church. Statues will be place at the front of the church where the paintings once hung.
In April patching and painting was well underway.
On Sunday, Aug. 26 a Mass and dedication of the altar will be held at 9:30 a.m. Bishop Schuerman will oversee the dedication and join Rev. Nathan Reesman for the celebration.
Until the dedication the altar will remain covered in a white cloth.
