Obit: Robert Keihl, 92, of Slinger

July 30, 2018 – Slinger, WI – Robert A. Keihl, 92, passed away Wednesday July 25, 2018 at The Pavilion of Glacier Valley in Slinger. He was born on January 14, 1926 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Viola (nee Striebel) Keihl.
Bob attended Rufus King High School and served in the US Army during WWII. Bob was the loving husband for 65 years of LaVerne (nee Schroeder). Bob retired from Wisconsin Electric Co. as a foreman following 30 years of service.
After retirement, the couple moved to Wautoma in 1990 and Robert moved to The Gardens of Hartford in December 2017.
Bob was a former member and an Elder at Redemption Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and was a member of the church Men’s Club, in the choir and the dartball team. He was also a former member of Peace Ev. Lutheran Church in Wautoma and a member of their Men’s Breakfast Bible Study Group and choir. Bob was a member of the Waushara Country Club and was the Past President of the Men’s Golf League.

Robert is survived by his children: Susan (Larry) Emmrich, Mark (Donna), James (Cheryl) and David (Laurie), 7 grandchildren; Tracey (Mark) Steier, Trisha (Wade) Kutchera, Cortney Emmrich, April (Ryan) Bruss, Aaron Keihl, Samantha Keihl and Alyssa (Fiance Nick Voelz) Day, 9 great-grandchildren; Brady, Macey, Katie, Madisyn, Easton, Noah, Liam, Caden and Greyson, 1 sister-in-law Carol Nauertz, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife LaVerne, and brother Richard.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at 3 pm on Saturday August 4 at Redemption Ev. Lutheran Church (5641 N. 68th St. Milwaukee, WI 53218) with Pastor Christian Winkel presiding.

Visitation will be at the church on Saturday August 4 from 1:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm.
