The investigation into the cause of the Wayside Bar & Grill fire is underway.
Fond du Lac Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein said it’s a joint investigation involving police, fire and rescue, and the state’s Division of Criminal Investigation.
During the fire the roof and second floor of the building collapsed into the first floor.
Klein said heavy equipment will be brought in to help go through the debris to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The scene has been fenced off to keep the public out.
