July 17, 2018 – West Bend, WI – One tenant is displaced and three other residents may be affected following a fire at an apartment complex Tuesday morning, 1153 Vogt Drive in West Bend.
“Crews found a fire in the bathroom area of one of the apartments and it spread through the walls of three adjoining units,” said Fire Chief Gerald Kudek.
The fire reportedly started in the bottom two apartments and went up. There were eight seperate units in the apartment building. No one was injured and one of the apartments affected was vacant.
Fire crews were called at 8:12 a.m. and cleared the scene just after noon.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage was contained to one side of the building and is estimated around $75,000.

The road is shut down in the area of 1153 Vogt Drive in West Bend as fire crews are still on scene of an apartment fire.
According to authorities the call came in at 8:12 a.m.
Jackson Fire Department and West Bend Fire Department are on scene along with West Bend Police.
Neighbors are on lawns and out front of their homes watching what appears to be smoke coming from a second story.
