Obit: Philip “Snowball” J. Kleba, 85, of West Bend

June 19, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Philip “Snowball” J. Kleba, 85, of West Bend, Gone Fishin’ on June 18, 2018 after a long and fulfilling life.

Phil was born on March 5, 1933 in Milwaukee to Phil and Mary Kleba (Wojziechowski).   On January 14, 1956 he was united in marriage to Myrtle “Terry” Hoffmann at Emmanuel Evangelical Church in Milwaukee.

Phil honorably served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 22 years.  He worked for S.B. Manufacturing in Wauwatosa for many decades.  He was a champion rummager and an avid hunter and fisherman. Phil enjoyed bowling, reading and playing cribbage.

Those Phil leaves behind to cherish his memory include wife of 62 years, Terry; six children, Kim Kleba, Jeffrey (Mary) Kleba, Kristine Wilkins, John Kleba, Jay (Maureen Fitzgerald) Kleba and Jason Kleba; 14 grandchildren, Paul (Susan Koziczkowski) Kleba, Marnie (Xion) Ernst Zoa, Krystal (Cory) Frank, Eric (Miguel Pedrza) Huebner, Sean (Lauren Tatum) Huebner, Justin (Jenni) Wilkins, Michael Wilkins, Matthew Kleba, Joseph Kleba, Cody Kleba, Greg Kleba, Jesse (Kendal) Kleba, Nicole (Richard Navarro) Stahl, and Josh Kleba. Further survived by sisters-in-law, Karen Kleba and Gloria Kleba; great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by daughter, Karrie Kleba; son-in-law, Kenneth Wilkins; granddaughter, Heather Wilkins; and brothers, Edward (Lorraine) Kleba, James Henry “Hank” (Esther “Sally”) Kleba, Ray Kleba and Donald Kleba.

Funeral Service for Phil will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St., West Bend, WI  53095).  Inurnment at the Valhalla Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date.

Phil’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1pm until time of service.

Phil’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Samaritan Health Care Center and Ally Home Hospice for their loving attention while he was under their care.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home of West Bend has been entrusted with Phil’s arrangements.
