In neighboring Fond du Lac County the North Fond du Lac School Board Monday night approved the hiring of Kerry Jo Patten as principal at the Friendship Learning Center.
Patten is currently an assistant principal at the Beaver Dam Middle school and has taught in 1st, 5th and 7th grades.
The superintendent in the North Fond du Lac School District said Patten was their top choice in a field of 81 applicants.
Patten will start July 1 and has a two-year contract as principal at Friendship Learning Center .
