June 14, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – Just after 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 rescue crews from Washington County Dive Team managed to recover the body of a person trapped under a lake weed cutter on Wallace Lake.
Authorities on scene confirmed the recovery and the body of the person was brought to shore.
Early word is a man was using a lake weed cutter when it overturned on Wallace Lake in the Town of Trenton. That happened after noon.
Other agencies responding according to Newburg Fire Department include Fillmore Fire Department, Waubeka Fire Department, Jackson Fire Department, West Bend Fire Department, Saukville Fire Department and Washington County Dive Team.
Washington County Sheriff is expected to release a statement later today.
