May 29, 2018 – Hartford, WI – Vanilda “Nellie” V. Priesgen (nee Moser) age 87 of Hartford, Wisconsin went home to Heaven on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Waterford of Hartford Assisted Living, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 25, 1930 to Lawrence B. and Theresa A. (nee Schwartz) Moser.

She was united in marriage to Eugene “Tiny” B. Priesgen on October 9, 1948 at Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians in Hubertus, WI.
Nellie worked for Hartcraft in Hartford, Wagner Products in Hustisford, the Fox and Hounds Restaurant in Hubertus, and after retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Hartford Hospital.
Nellie also enjoyed gardening, fishing, gambling, watching and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and most of all spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children, Darlene (Dale) Grinwald, Gerald “Butch” (Betty), Eugene Jr. (friend, Cindy) Priesgen all of Rubicon, Janet (Nick) Klink of Hartford, Jeffery Priesgen of Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Brenda, Ryan (Theresa),Terri (Al), Troy, Keith (Kim), Kristina (Marshall), Michelle (Brian), and Marcia; 13 great grand-children; other dear relatives and friends. She will also be missed by her treasured dogs, Sophie and Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 64 years, Eugene; loving son, Ronald “Ronnie” Priesgen; her parents; siblings, and several siblings-in-law.
Nellie’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027) on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., concluding with a Rosary Service.
Mass of Christian Burial for Nellie will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State Street, Hartford, WI 53027). Additional visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday preceding the Mass from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Immediately following Mass, Nellie’s Committal will take place at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.
