May 29, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Rebroadcast of Monday’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Old Courthouse Square in West Bend.

Allan Kieckhafer was master of ceremonies.

Mike Kugler presented “A Tribute to the Flag.”

Korean War Veteran Norbert Carter led the Pledge of Allegiance.

River City Irregulars performed the Star Spangled Banner.

Rev. Jeff Hesse from St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend presented the opening prayer.

Commander of VFW Post 1393 John Kleinmaus read General Logan’s Order No. 11, May 5, 1868 General John A. Logan, Grand Army of the Republic.

Kyle from West Bend East High School read America the Beautiful and the Preamble to the Constitution.

Emma Seymer recited the Gettysburg Address and Natalie White read “In Flanders Field.”

The Moraine Chorus under direction of Dr. Peter Gibeau presented a patriotic musical selection.

U.S. Navy Lt. Clarissa Martinelli presented the Memorial Day address.

Alan Kieckhafer honored Gold Star Families.

Washington County Veterans placed wreaths as a memorial service to the dead.

West bend Veterans Honor Guard with Squad Leader Jim Maersch presided over the Salute to the Dead.

WWII veteran Howard Knox, 98, played Taps.

River City Irregulars and the Moraine Chorus teamed up for Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Rev. Hesse closed with the Benediction.

River City Irregulars led the entire assembly with America.
