Successful season for WB boys’ swim and dive team

Well everyone,

What an outstanding climax to a super-awesome season.

The three young men who represented the West Bend Boys’ Swim and Dive Team did a tremendous job.

In diving Jordan Budiac Preliminaries to the Semi-Finals. He started out 20th and after 8 divers ended up 18th missing the finals by 4.25 points. It was an outstanding effort by Jordan.

Teammate Dakota Skenandore had his own fight going on with the other two top divers in the State. All through the diving competitions Dakoka, Matt Munns and Brandon Spencer were juggling between first second and third place. Going into the eleventh and final round Matt who was diver No. 14 was in first with 441.35 points. He scored 33.75 on his last dive finishing with 474.10 points. Dakota was diver No. 15 and was in second place with 438.55 points. He scored 52.00 points on his last dive to put him in first place with 490.55 points. Brandon was the 16th and last diver in third place with 437.50 points. He needed 53.10 points to beat Dakota. On his last dive he scored 64.40 points to beat Dakota by 11.35 points with 501.90.

Dakota finished in second place ended with the best four years a divers has ever had in West Bend since I started coaching swimming 41 years ago.

Dakota you an AWESOME young Man.

Our other State qualifier was Bryan Fitzgerald who qualified in the 200 IM and 500 Freestyle. In the 200 IM, Bryan finished in 12th place with a time of 1:58.54 almost a second faster then his qualifying time. By doing this time of 1:58.54 he broken his own Co-op Record. In the 500 Freestyle Bryan finished in 8th place with a time of 4:45.45 going 1.39 seconds faster then his qualifying time. With this time of 4:45.45 he broken both of his own East and Co-op Records. Bryan also had an amazing season and he is only a sophomore. I am looking forward to coaching Bryan over the next two years and where his outstanding talent takes him.

I am very blessed to work with two of the finest coaches in the State, Coach Chris See and Coach Pete DeTuncq. Pete keeps proving over and over again why he is one of the top Diving coaches in the State. Look where he took our divers this year and to top it of not only being our best individual event they always start us off with a bang at every invitational with 30 to 50 points.

Coach Chris See is always on the guys to do RACE PACE TURNS, kick harder and takes swimmers into lanes 6 and 7 to work individually with them on stroke technique and turns while I continue to run practice with the rest of the T.E.A.M.

Last as you all know this has been a very emotional season for me. I know Carol has seen everything that your sons have accomplished this season. Your sons were outstanding and coaching them was the best therapy for me. Parents, I want to THANK YOU for all your support this season. Everything put together makes us a T.E.A.M. where Together Everyone Achieves More.

The GOAL was accomplished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
