National Exchange Bank & Trust and American Bank are merging under the National Exchange Bank & Trust name.
The announcement was made this week in Fond du Lac. The transaction is scheduled to be completed in the second half of the year, pending regulatory approval.
After the merger, the combined banks will have more than $1.85 billion in assets and 33 offices. A leadership team will coordinate a transition plan.
