April 14, 2018 – Dodge Co., WI – The roads are reportedly like “a sheet of ice” as a rain/sleet mix passes through Dodge and neighboring Washington Counties.

Just after 6 p.m. a jackknifed semi on Highway 33 just west of Highway P shut down traffic. The semi blocked all lanes. Emergency crews are on scene. No word yet if there are any injuries.

Motorists are advised the roads are ice covered and slippery.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 12 a.m. Monday, April 16 for Dodge, Washington and Ozaukee Counties.

Angela Rosine submitted the photo below of a tree that fell on some power lines on County Road K in the Town of Erin.

Earlier Saturday a tree-removal service was on scene on Fifth Avenue in West Bend for a tree limb that fell onto the side of a home.

Saturday afternoon crews were at Seventh and Poplar after a tree limb broke loose and fell onto a home puncturing the roof. Click HERE for video.

  1. No injuries. I was right behind the semi and called 911. The empty trailer and high winds caused more of an issue than the roads at the time that were only slightly slick. The driver did a great job considering and he was stuck with several wheels of f the ground which is why he could not get out, not jackknifed.
