March 11, 2018 – Town of Wayne, WI – On March 11, 2018, at 4:06 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle car crash, on Midland Drive south of Mohawk Road, in the town of Wayne.
Deputies responded along with the Kohlsville First Responders, and Kewaskum Fire Department and rescue.
A 35-year-old City of Hartford man was extricated from the vehicle. Life saving measures were performed, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, as a result of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
Evidence indicates the car was being driven south bound on Midland Drive, left the paved roadway striking a culvert and a tree. The crash is still under investigation, but speed, and lack of seatbelt were believed to be contributing factors.
