Jan. 31, 2018 – Jackson, WI – Karen R. Groth (nee Endres) age 71 of Jackson died peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1946 in Hartford to Fred and Anna (nee Horsch) Endres and married Gerald A. Groth on April 26, 1969 at Faith U.C.C. in Slinger.
Karen worked at Libby’s in Jackson with her sister Darlene for 39 years until the factory closed. They then worked together at Jim’s Place in Slinger for a number of years until the time of her death.
She had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and tending to her beautiful flower gardens.
Karen in survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry, her sister Darlene Endres of Hartford, her brother Kenneth (Mary) Endres of Hartford, her brother-in-law Delwyn Groth of Jackson, 1 niece, 1 nephew and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Endres, her parents-in-law, John and Adela Groth and 1 niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith U.C.C., 2895 Slinger Road in Slinger with Rev. Sharon Stier officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Faith U.C.C. Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, at the church only from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Memorials to Faith U.C.C. or the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt Thank You to Kay Wieke and all the caregivers who have helped Jerry and Karen during her illness and the nurses and staff at Horizon Hospice for their care.
