15 year old from Racine arrested following crash in Washington County

Dec. 21, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 15-year-old Racine youth after a 10 mile high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

Information from Dodge County Sheriff at 2:23 p.m. was that an older tan Toyota was southbound on I41 driving reckless. The provided license plate came back as stolen from the city of Racine.

Deputies spotted the vehicle near CTH K and began pursuit. The driver fled at speeds reaching 100 mph until the youth struck a semi and crashed in the area of Lannon Road in the Village of Germantown.

Germantown Police and the State Patrol assisted deputies with taking the subject into custody.

The youth was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, felony eluding and operation without a license. The youth was turned over to the Racine Sheriff’s Office as he was a reported runaway from a facility in Racine County.
