District Report Card 2016-17 summary for Hartford J1, West Bend, Slinger, Richfield, Erin Elementary, Germantown, and Kewaskum

 

 

 

Nov. 21, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – The West Bend School District’s overall score on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) yearly report card improved by nearly four points to reach 76.2 for the 2016-2017 school year—moving the district from a meets expectations accountability rating to an exceeds expectations rating.

The DPI issues report cards to all 424 public school districts in the state.
According to the DPI, the 76.2 score for the 2016-2017 school year means the West Bend School District, “Exceeds state expectations for student achievement, student growth, educational equity, and preparing students for educational milestones, including college and career readiness.” For the 2015-2016 school year, the district scored 72.4, earning a meets expectations accountability rating.

The number of West Bend School District schools achieving a significantly exceeds expectations rating reached three. They include Fair Park, Jackson, and McLane elementary schools.

Silverbrook Intermediate School improved its score by more than 10 points to move up to an exceeds expectations rating. Five schools improved their overall scores by at least two points and retained their meets expectations rating. Those schools include East and West High Schools, Badger Middle School, and Green Tree and Decorah Elementary Schools. The score for Pathways Charter School decreased, with the accountability rating remaining meets expectations.
