Nov. 2, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The Feast of All Saints provided the perfect opportunity for students at Holy Angels School to learn more about these role models in faith. Each fourth grader studied a saint and wrote a brief biography about the person who has been recognized as a saint by the Church. The students shared their enthusiasm for their saints at a Sunday Mass where they participated as choir and lectors.
On All Saints Day, the fourth graders not only planned the all-school Mass, but also invited parishioners to hear about the many saints at special presentations in the Walnut Room. By touching the saint’s symbol on a poster board, the parish members and fellow Holy Angels students were able to discover important aspects of each saint’s life.
At the beginning of the school year, each classroom selected a patron saint for their room as part of the 21st Century Classrooms project. For the celebration of All Saints Day, icons for each of the saints were blessed by Rev. Pat Heppe.
They were then mounted at each classroom’s doorway as a constant reminder of the call to a life of holiness
