Oct. 30, 2017 – Kewaskum, wi – Roger J. Jacobs, 84, formerly of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.
Roger was born on February 7, 1933, the son of the late Raymond and Veronica (Micke) Jacobs.
Roger was born and raised in Hilbert. On February 13, 1954, he was united in marriage to Darlin Reese at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brillion. Roger and Darlin then moved to Virginia while Roger proudly served in the Army.
They returned to Wisconsin where Roger graduated from Barber College in Green Bay and barbered in Oshkosh and in Kewaskum for 40 years. Darlin and Roger raised three beautiful daughters and had nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. In 2014 they moved to Illinois to live with their daughter. Darlin preceded Roger in death on June 30, 2017. Roger was a member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Those Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory include three children, Denise (Scott) Walsh of West Bend, Doreen (Tom) Clarkson and Wanda (Dave) Toepfer both of Barrington, Illinois; nine grandchildren, William Walsh, Christopher Walsh, Stacy Walsh, Laurel Clarkson, Matthew Clarkson, Lydia Elliott, Hanna Elliott, Payton Elliott, and Ethan Elliott; five great grandchildren, Callista Walsh, Christian Walsh, Dylan Walsh, Grace Walsh, Mitchell Walsh; two brothers, Joseph (Ceil) Jacobs and Kenneth (Debbie) Jacobs; three sisters, Virginia (Richard) Levash, Rosemary (Ralph) Karls, and Anna Marie (Pete) Luxem; a brother-in-law, Fred Reese; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Reese and Beverly Jacobs, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Roger was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert (Carol) Jacobs and Hillard Jacobs; a sister, Dorothy Jacobs and a brother-in-law, Donald Reese.
A memorial service for Roger will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive, in Kewaskum. Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate and burial will follow in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
Roger’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from Noon until the time of service.
