Slinger Owls blank Port Washington | By Ron Naab

Sept. 22, 2017 – Slinger, WI – It was game six of the high school football season and Slinger High School took on Port Washington High School in the newly revised Northshore Conference.
Thursday evening the Slinger Owls JV2 team hosted Port Pirates JV2 team.
The sophmore Owls lost to the Pirates 12 – 9 and the freshman team lost 12 – 7.
Friday evening the Owls traveled to Port Washington to face off against the Pirates.
After the first half riddled was with penalty flags for both teams the Owls finally scored on a 13-yard pass play from Tyler Evans to Mac Stoffel with 7 minutes left in the third quarter.
Both teams threatened to score in the fourth quarter but neither were able to find the end zone.
The final score was Slinger over Port Washington 7 – 0.
Next week is Slinger’s homecoming and the Owls will host the West Bend West Spartans.
