August 28, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Funnel clouds are possible this afternoon and early evening but are not expected to come in contact with the ground and become a tornado.
According to accuweather.com as of 12:45 p.m., there was a report of a funnel cloud with a rain shower near Rosendale and another southwest of Oshkosh.
More funnel clouds are possible through the next few hours.
Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties are the area most likely to have this activity occur as there currently is a band of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.
A secondary area of focus goes from western Jefferson County through Dane and Lafayette Counties.
Typically in this type of setup, these funnel clouds stay at the base of the cloud and do not reach the ground.
However, if they do reach the ground, be prepared to get to shelter quickly.
