Obit: George “Red” Landrath, 79, of West Bend

 

August 14, 2017 – West Bend, WI – George “Red” Landrath age 79 years passed away Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born in West Bend on January 16, 1938 to William and Kathryn (nee Lochen) Landrath.

Red was an avid deer hunter, gardener and fisherman. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, tinkering in his garage and helping others with projects whenever he could.

Red is survived by his wife of 43 years LaVerne and their children: Jeanne (Dennis) Sparks, Diane Truber, George (Sherry) Landrath, Tina (Chad) Landrath, Ronald Landrath, Tammy (James) Rabenberg, Suann (Donald) Wilson, Michael (Cheryl) Sullivan and Michelle (Lewis-Brian) Schultz. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Adam, Shawn, Jessica, Jordan, Gabriella, Troy, Cassie, Ashley, Cody, Jesse, Bret, Kyle, Ammie, Shanna, Dakota and Hailee, 27 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Ann, his brother Frederick, his daughter Laura his grandson Cameron and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home (629 Cedar Street) in West Bend. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.

The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend is serving the family.
