Harvest caps have increased for adult female sturgeon for the 2016 Sturgeon spearing season on Lake Winnebago and the Upriver Lakes.
Sturgeon Biologist Ryan Koenigs said the limit for adult female sturgeon is up from 878 to 950. The limit for juvenile females is 430 and for male sturgeon 1,220.
Koenigs said for the most part regulations for the 2016 season are similar to seasons past. Hard copies of the regulations are available at licensed vendors around Lake Winnebago .
