Crews from Janke General Contractors took advantage of the ‘warmer’ weather Thursday and started work on the new pedestrian bridge over the Milwaukee River.
The truss bridge will connect Main Street and Vest Park in downtown West Bend to the east side of the river, Veterans Avenue and the Museum of Wisconsin Art.
According to plans the bridge will have a concrete deck with prefabricated steel trusses that will be painted white.
