Obit: Andrew “Andy” G. Chitwood, 40, of Slinger

June 12, 2017 – Slinger, WI – Andrew “Andy” G. Chitwood, age 40 years, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2017.

Andy was born on October 17, 1976 in Hartford to Steven Chitwood and Katherine Fehring.  He was raised in Slinger and was a graduate of Slinger High School, class of 1995.

Andy was a wonderful, unique  and generous person and was extremely proud of his daughter Katelynn.  He loved her with all his heart and cared very much for Katelynn’s mother Jessica and her two boys.  He could strike up conversation with just about everyone.  The Fehring family homestead was a major part of his life.

He loved assisting his grandfather Jim on the farm with splitting wood, clearing trees, mowing the lawn, general upkeep, and hunting.  Andy had many friends and enjoyed being surrounded by them.

His family and friends meant the world to Andy.

Andy is survived by his daughter Katelynn, mother Katherine, father Steven, brothers: Corey (Laura), Ryan and Joshua.  He is further survived by his grandmothers Norma Chitwood and Lottie Fehring, aunts and uncles:  Greg (Judy) Chitwood, Dan Chitwood, Jim Chitwood, Gary (Kathy) Chitwood, Rob (Maggie) Chitwood, Rita (John) Neuman, Jon (Diane) Fehring, Jay (Kara) Fehring, Julie Loesl, nieces and nephews:  Benjamin, Marissa, Annabella, cousins:  Chad, Lindsay, Jennifer, Cassandra, Jesse, Gina, Jenise, Noelle, Adam, Rory, Jacob, Lucas, Brenna, Zachary, Jordan, other relatives and many friends.  Preceded in death by his grandfathers Jack Chitwood, Jim Fehring, his dogs: Brutus, Tasha, Alisha, Cocao and Max.

A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Father Richard J. Stoffel presiding.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14 from 3:00 pm until time of service (6:00 pm).  Memorials are appreciated.
