Obit: Nicholas “Nick” M. Smith, 15, of Farmington

June 6,  2017 – Farmington, WI – Nicholas “Nick” M. Smith, 15, of Farmington, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

He was born on August 5, 2001, in West Bend, the son of Matt and Becky Smith.  Nick was a sophomore at Kewaskum High School and worked this past winter at Sunburst Ski Area as a tubing attendant.

Nick was a very active person and was involved in Chess Club, Ski & Snowboard Club, and played on the Boys Tennis Team at Kewaskum High School.

He enjoyed gaming and electronics especially Quadcopters, the T.V. show Dr. Who, hanging with friends, playing with kids, and a good prank/joke.

Nick will be remembered by all those who knew him as a caring, giving, considerate, and thoughtful person.

 

Those Nick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Matt (fiancé Cheryl Seibel) Smith of Kewaskum and Becky (special friend Brian Thoune) Smith of Fillmore; a sister, Kassandra “Kassie” Smith; maternal grandparents, Robert and Christine Schaefer of Malone, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Donna Smith and his paternal and maternal great-grandparents.

A Memorial Visitation for Nick will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Holy Trinity Parish Center, 331 Main St., in Kewaskum.  Words of remembrance and sharing will be held at 5:00 p.m. following the visitation.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the first responders, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and especially the medical team at Children’s Hospital for all they have done and support they have provided during this difficult time.

They Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Nick’s arrangements.
