May 15, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Vernon Roell, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Samaritan in West Bend. He was born May 3, 1940 in Sheboygan, WI to Hilbert and Alma (nee Stern) Roell. Vernon graduated from West Bend High School. He was employed at the Gehl Company for 48 years. Vernon loved vacationing in northern WI, gardening and the outdoors.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Lord); children Jenny (Clifford) Dorn, Jeffrey (Cheryl); grandchildren Naomi (Ramiro)Paz, Nathaniel Dorn, Eric Roell, Brian Roell; great-grandchildren Celina and Bella Paz, Bentley Dorn, Benjamin Galliart; brother Wayne Roell; siblings-in-law Fred (Cathy) Lord and Carol Lord. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vernon is preceded in death by parents, sister Shirley (Robert) Beck, sister-in-law Sharon Roell, 2 brothers-in-law James Lord and Thomas Lord, parents-in-law Nathan and Lorraine Lord.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 3:30 until 6:00PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Private Inurnment at Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Horizon Home Care & Hospice (11400 W Lake Park Dr Milwaukee, WI 53224), Samaritan (531 E Washington St West Bend, WI 53095) and/or Interfaith Caregivers (2374 W Washington St West Bend, WI 53095).
