West Bend Police ask for help locating dog that bit man.

May 8, 2017 – West Bend, WI  – On Saturday May 6, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. a 29-year-old man from Bartlett Illinois reported he was walking in Regner Park when he saw a black lab mix dog with no collar. The dog bit the man’s arm, and then the dog ran away. West Bend Police are attempting to identify and locate the owner of the dog. If we do not locate the dog’s owner the man that was bit will be required to have a series of shots. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the dog’s owner should call the West Bend Police at 262-335-5000.

 

OPERATE AUTO WHILE INTOXICATED 4th OFFENSE – Hawthorn Drive at Badger Lane.
On Saturday May 6, 2017 at 7:20 p.m., a citizen called the West Bend Police to report a male subject operating an auto while intoxicated. A West Bend Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as a 42-year-old man from the Town of Polk. The male failed the Standard Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested for his 4th Offense Operating an auto while intoxicated.

  1. I feel sorry for the gentleman who was bitten by a dog in Regner Park.
    I walk that area all year round. Too many dogs are seen in the parks!
    Some with owners, others may be alone. I’m not sure if the dogs cannot read the signs that are almost unreadable, or the owners ignoring the”No Dogs Allowed In City Parks”!
    Besides being bit(like this gentleman) their waste can cause many problems!
    I find it amazing that the owners can pick up the waste, put it in a plastic bag, and leave it sit!
    Seems like most dogs are smarter than the owners!
