Moraine Park Technical College is hosting an event called “Jane of All Trades,” a spotlight on non-traditional occupations for women, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, at the Fond du Lac Campus.
The event will feature the following occupations: Automotive, Civil Engineering, Criminal Justice, Electricity, IT-Network Specialist, Mechanical Design, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, and Welding. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, non-traditional occupations for women are jobs in which 25 percent or less of the workforce are female.
Students will see career labs and be able to ask questions about each program.
