This is the old waiting room at the clinic on Silverbrook Drive
The framed black-and-white photo of Dr. James Albrecht has found a new home on Highway 33 in West Bend as the Albrecht Free Clinic opens today in its new location, 908 W. Washington Street.
The space, formerly home to Verre Eye Clinic, features free dental service, a new X-ray station and it was made possible following a $300,000 donation from Froedtert Hospital.
“This location really fits our need and if everything goes according to plan we will have three full medical rooms and three full dental rooms,” executive director Jim Strachota said about the space in the 3,000-square-foot building.
A couple of features that have yet to be added include a painting by Kewaskum artist Dan Gerhartz which will be on the donor wall in the clinic’s waiting room.
Appointments begin at 6 p.m. this evening; registration gets underway at 5 p.m.
