Longtime Allenton firefighter has died: Paul C. Wolf, 49, of Allenton was taken back to his eternal home with God on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 with his wife by his side.
 
He was born on September 30, 1966 in Hartford, WI to Albert and Mildred (nee Langenecker) Wolf. He lived all his life in Allenton in his family home and attended Slinger High School. On November 16, 1996 he married his best friend, Susan “Sue” Gundrum, and they spent over 19 years together.
 
Paul had a great love and pride for his family, his 3 children and wife. They meant everything to him. Paul loved the farm, Sunset Farms, where he grew up and worked all his life.
 
He loved farming so much he visited at least one farm on every vacation his family ever took- a love that shines through his son, Adam.
 
Paul also loved serving his community. He loved being an EMT and firefighter and was honored to be the Deputy Chief of EMS for 22 years.
 
His dedication to serving the community is evident in all the lives that he has touched in his 29 years on the Allenton Volunteer Fire Department. He recently became a Slinger and Allenton rotary member.
 
Paul loved and lived his Catholic faith and always knew that God would take care of him and had a great plan for him. His daughters, Emily and Teresa have embraced that love for God with their faith and parish mission trips. He was so very proud of all the accomplishments that his family made- every one of them.
 
Paul is survived by his best friend and wife, Susan Wolf; his daughters, Emily and Teresa Wolf; his son, Adam Wolf; his mother, Mildred Wolf; brothers, Ray (Anne), Dan (Ellen), and Bernie (Cindy) Wolf; sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Dukelow, Judy (Don) Lesmeister, and Linda (Milt) Luka; parents-in-law, Ron (Cathy) Gundrum; brothers-in-law, Rich and Tim (fiancé, Candice) Gundrum; sisters-in-law, Carol (Josh) Hawig, Linda (Charles) Edwards, and Pam Gundrum; and Emily’s host parents and family in Norway, Sture (Eli) Aundunson Nome and Jose (Sissel) Sandberg Jorquera . He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his hero, his Dad, Albert Wolf.
 
Paul’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street – Hartford, WI 53027) on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Allenton and supporting fire departments will pay their respects at 6:00 p.m., and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. will conclude the visitation.
 
The Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main Street – Allenton, WI 53002.)
 
Additional visitation will be held prior to Mass at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday.
 
Interment in Sacred Heart/ Resurrection Cemetery in Allenton, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Peter’s Catholic School (206 E. Washington Street – Slinger, WI 53086) or to the Allenton Volunteer Fire Department (431 Railroad Street, P.O. Box 107 – Allenton, WI 53002) are greatly appreciated.
