Feb. 9, 2017 – Jackson, WI – Marvin W. Kissinger age 87 of Jackson passed away peacefully on February 6, 2017 at Serenity Villa in Slinger.
Born 10/7/1929 in Jackson, Wis. The only son to Harry and Anita (Nee Gronemeyer) Kissinger in Jackson where he lived his whole life on the family homestead actively farming and caring for the land left to him. It was the place he loved to be, he was always involved and his ideas will be with us forever. He was very creative designing and remodeling his home, and buildings even up to the end of his time, he always had an idea how to make things better. He enjoyed fixing, repairing and building many pieces of equipment for himself and many neighbors over the years.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 57 years Shirley, children Lee (Caren) Kissinger and Kay (Nick) Laatch, grandchildren Daniel (Megan) Kissinger, Kevin (Angie) Kissinger, Karissa, Dustin and Lanae Laatch, and great grandson Owen Kissinger. Marvin is further survived by brother and sister in law Don and Audrey Richter and Ron and Judy Felsing and other nieces nephews, family and friends!
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anita Kissinger, and his parents in law William and Elsie Thornsberry and cousin Dorothy (Lloyd) Bruggemann who was like a sister to him and helped care for him as a child when his mother could not.
Special thanks to the staff of Serenity Villa and Horizon Hospice Care for their loving care and attention for Marvin.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13th 2017 from 5:30pm with a Memorial Service to be held at 6:30 pm at Living Word Lutheran Church (2240 Living Word Lane Jackson, WI 53037).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Living Word Lutheran Church.
