Obit: June B. Engel-Wehausen (nee Seemuth), 99, West Bend. June was further blessed by 19 great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

Jan. 17, 2017 – West Bend, WI – June B. Engel-Wehausen (nee Seemuth), 99, entered the Church Triumphant on January 16, 2017, passing peacefully while surrounded by family. Born June 10, 1917, June provided a profound example of lifelong Faithfulness and was a model of how to age gracefully to her family and all that she met.

June was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Engel who passed away in 1963, and Eugene Wehausen, who passed away in 1970.

June is survived by her five children: John (Karen) Engel, Robert (Susan) Engel, James (Kimberly) Engel, Thomas (Jennifer) Engel and Mary Jean (Douglas) Wiese (for whom it was shouted “Engels had a GIRL” upon her birth).

 

Further survived by 12 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Rob) Chenoweth, Laura (Matthew Youngblood) Engel, Jonathan (Alison) Engel, Gretchen (Clay) Rabideaux, Katherine (Michael) Twohig, Anne (Roberto) Guercini, Carolyn (Benjamin) Wolfgram, Andrea (Aaron) Vrhovnic, Sarah Kennedy, Kristin (David) Homan, Carnegie Wiese and Eliot Wiese.

June was further blessed by 19 great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Lighthouse (New Perspective) Senior Living and the ministry staff at St. John’s Lutheran Church (West Bend) and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (Wauwatosa).

A Memorial Celebration is being planned for a date to be announced.  June can be remembered through gifts to St. John’s West Bend Foundation in lieu of flowers.
