Obit: Robert Schoenhaar, 81, West Bend. Bob worked at Barton Products for 43 years. Robert was a member of the Lt. Ray Dickop post 36 American Legion and a life-time member of the NRA.

Jan. 11, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Robert R. Schoenhaar age 81 of West Bend died Thursday, January 5, 2017. He was born January 17, 1935 in West Bend to Oscar and Pearl (nee Butts) Schoenhaar and married Patricia M. Raab on January 19, 1963 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church.

Bob served as the Master Councilor of DeMolay and was also active in Swing Band while in high school. Following graduation he served in the National Guard for 7 years with the last year on active duty at Ft. Lewis in Washington.

Bob and Pat were very active in scouting for over 35 years. He liked hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with his family.

Bob worked at Barton Products for 43 years. He was a member of the Lt. Ray Dickop post 36 American Legion and a life-time member of the NRA.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 53 years. Pat, 4 children: Mary (Christopher) O’Hanison of West Allis, Kelsey (Lisa Schoenwetter) Schoenhaar of Madison, Jay of West Bend and Thomas of Milwaukee, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by 2 sisters-in-law: Kay (Sam) Claas of West Bend and Carol Krause of Arpin, WI and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Pearl Schoenhaar, his son David, his daughter-in-law Janice, his brother Edward, 2 sisters: Kathryn (Vic) Rohleder and Myrtle (Alfred) Marquardt, a sister-in-law Joanne (James) Mara and 2 brothers-in-law: Richard Frings and Alvin Krause.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church. The family will greet visitors at church from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated.

We would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Gary Herdrich and his staff for never giving up on Bob.
