West Bend Police arrest 3 for stealing TVs from Walmart, woman arrested for 3rd OWI, and man arrested for drug possession

Jan. 5, 2017 – West Bend, WI – West Bend Police catch three people fleeing Walmart with large-screen TVs.

RETAIL THEFT / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

On January 5, 2017, at 2:53 AM, Walmart employees reported three subjects attempting to steal televisions from the store. Officers located three people from Milwaukee including a 35-year-old woman and two men ages 43 and 34 as they fled the store with the large screen televisions. The woman had a drug pipe on her when arrested and damaged the inside of a police squad while being detained. Both men were arrested for Retail Theft and placed in jail. The woman was arrested for Retail Theft, Criminal Damage to Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and placed in jail.

CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON / POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER MARIJUANA

On January 4, 2017, at 8:17 PM, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, detected the odor of marijuana coming from the car, and learned the Milwaukee man, 19, had a warrant for his arrest. A search of the car located marijuana packaged for sale and two loaded handguns. The driver was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and the warrant and placed in jail. An 18-year-old male passenger from Milwaukee was arrested for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and placed jail.OWI – 3rd OFFENSE / DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On January 4, 2017, at 4:21 PM, a citizen reported a vehicle swerving across traffic lanes, abruptly stopping, and a female driver exiting the vehicle while a male passenger attempted to get her back in the car. Officers located the female driver and observed signs that the 55-year-old West Bend woman was intoxicated. The woman was uncooperative during the investigation, yelling and using profanity towards the officers while in public. The woman was arrested for OWI- 3rd Offense and Disorderly Conduct.
