Dec. 8, 2016 – West Bend, WI – On Dec. 2, 2016 a West Bend woman, 20, and her mother called West Bend Police to report finding a suspicious device in the heating vent of the 20-year-old woman’s bedroom.
Our investigation determined the device was a video camera and that the camera had been recording images of the 20-year-old women in her bedroom.
Investigators determined the mother’s 39-year-old boyfriend as the person that purchased the camera and placed it in the vent. Investigators recovered images of the victim in stages of undress that the boyfriend saved. The boyfriend had resided in the home with the victim and her mother.
On Dec. 8, 2016, the 39-year-old West Bend man was arrested for Invasion of Privacy and Capturing Representations Depicting Nudity. He is presently in the Washington County Jail.
