Emil A. Koltermann, 82, of the Town of Farmington, West Bend, was called home to be with his Lord on Saturday December 19, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on November 9, 1933 in Bangor to the late Willy and Laura (nee Niedefeldt) Koltermann. During a good portion of the 1950’s Emil spent honorably serving his country in the United States Navy, and later honing his skills as a roofing contractor.
On November 17, 1962 Emil was united in marriage to Patricia Steuber at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls. Their first 17 years found them raising their family in Germantown where Emil owned his own roofing company which served the Germantown-Mequon area. Then to Plymouth to live and continue his roofing business, and in 1989 moved to their current home in the Town of Farmington. Emil retired from the roofing business in 1998.
Emil volunteered as a roofer for Builders for Christ, delivered meals to the homebound, and was a Citizen Advocacy volunteer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, time with his beloved dog Daisy Mae.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Pat; three daughters, Colleen (John) Bublitz of Jackson, Kim (David) Nytes of Sheboygan, and Kathryn (Mike) Ingles of Campbellsport; five grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) Bublitz of Franklin, Jared Bublitz of Jackson, Adele Nytes of St. Paul, MN, Jacob Nytes of Sheboygan, and Nicole Koltermann of Campbellsport; a sister, Lorraine (George) Mael; six brothers, Roland “Cliff” (Lorna) Koltermann, Gary (Joan) Kolterman, Roy (Clarice) Koltermann, Art (Pat) Koltermann, David Koltermann, and Willy John “Bill” Koltermann; three sisters-in-law, Lois Olson, Deborah (Tom) Varish, and Terry (Gerry) Kenyon; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Diana) Steuber, Kenneth (Suzanne) Steuber, and Donald Steuber; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Laura Koltermann; two brothers, Willard and Frank Koltermann; sister-in-law, Carmen Koltermann; parents-in-law, George and Virginia Steuber.
Funeral services in remembrance of Emil will be held on Wednesday December 23 at 12:30 pm at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church (623 Congress St.) Newburg, with Rev. Kurt Schaser officiating.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service.
Memorials to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church or WELS Kingdom Workers Builders for Christ are appreciated by the family.
