Washington Co., Wi – Candidates running for school board had to have the appropriate paperwork turned in by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7 for the April 1, 2025 Spring Election. A rundown of candidates and district races are posted below.
In the Erin School District: Incumbent Frank Alvarez is the lone candidate up for election in April 2025.
In the Germantown School District: Seat #4 incumbent Brian Medved filed non-candidacy in December 2024.
Candidates who filed papers for the 3-year terms include: Seat #2 – Incumbent Russ Ewert is running unopposed
Seat #4 – Jeff Voyer will be challenged by Sharon Kiernan
Seat #6 – Incumbent Mike Loth is running unopposed
In the Hartford Union High School District: As of December 19, 2024, both incumbent candidates, Craig Westfall and Don Pridemore, filed their Notification of Non-candidacy.
Six candidates are running for 2 open seats at HUHS which means there will be a primary election Tuesday, February 18.
At 10:30 a.m. today, the ballot order was drawn with the help of Heather Barrie, HUHS School Board Clerk, and Nolan Jacket, HUHS School Board Vice President. Names will appear as follows on the ballot for the spring primary on Tuesday, February 18:

Superintendent Jeff Walters expressed his excitement about the diverse slate of candidates: “Having six dedicated members of our community stepping forward to run for school board is a testament to the passion and commitment we all share for the future of our students,” said Superintendent Jeff Walters. “This is an especially exciting and pivotal time in our district’s history, with the $25.8 million facilities referendum paving the way for important decisions about our upcoming construction projects.”
In the Hartford Joint #1 School District: Incumbent Louise Schrunk is up for election in April 2025. Naiza Gohr is also on the ballot.
In the Holy Hill School District: There are two seats up for election including incumbent president Blair Rogacki and incumbent Marcus Packard.
In the Kewaskum School District: Incumbents Bradley Petersen and Timothy Ramthun are both running unopposed. The draw will be held at the district office at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to determine the order the names will be placed on the ballot.
In the Slinger School District: Incumbents Roman Weninger, Heidi Lofy, and Gary Feltz are up for election. They are all running unopposed.
In the West Bend School District: Incumbents John Donaldson and Melanie Ehrgott submitted appropriate paperwork for two seats on the ballot in the Spring Election. Joe Pichler also filed to run for the 3-term. The draw on how names will be published on the April 2025 ballot is Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
